I am also a victim of Country club vacations
I did not pay in cash but i was asked to show my credit card for noting the details and later I was told 50000 was swaped. IWas asked to give a check for 145000. After returning home I verified on net about country club and came to know about the scam. Next day I went to the club and asked for cancellation of my request for membership. They flatly refused and told me to use club facilities, which as a senior citizen I am not interested. I want register a complaint for cancellation of my application and refund of my 50k. I asked by bank not honour the check for 145000

Good that you asked your bank not to honour the check. In case they swipe your credit card, call your bank immediately and ask them to cancel it or altogether cancel/block your credit card – that way they will not charge you.
